Day 24: for Martina

In the words of Martina from Croatia:  "A woman with a university degree can end up in a miniskirt on the street just like a woman from the country. It doesn’t matter whether it is a bar, a shop, an office, whatever. They keep their tentacled octopuses on every corner."

 It made me sick to know that while Martina is still recovering from the trauma of being raped and abused for years and years, these are often my only complaints.  We don't realize how incredibly blessed we are... at least I don't.
