Day 30, Morning: for Samira.

Trafficked girls lose more than just their virginity.  They lose their families, their futures, their health.  They are not greeted with their names... they are simply asked how much they cost.  They are not loved.  They are used over and over again.

Knowing the horrors of human trafficking, Samira still chose to enter the life of prostitution at the age of 15, believing it was the last hope of provision for her family.

Samira's story shows that human trafficking has much bigger roots than the selfishness of perverted me.  It is the result of poverty, depression, and the general sense of worthlessness that comes from pouring your whole heart into providing for your family, but not being able to.

Though Samira was rescued from the Red Light district and is in a safe aftercare program, she tested positive for HIV.
